Loyal supporters of the pop star are demanding that a person who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.
"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.
"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another message on Instagram.
A number of fans also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.
In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
Numerous of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.
The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting characters.
The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.
They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, securing two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
